In late March of 2015 I flew to Shanghai to tour China for the very first time. Some pretty wonderful people had invited me over to play with them – they were Scottish themselves and had been fans of The Delgados. They even put a band together for me and for the next few weeks we rehearsed in a suitably dingy smoke strangled basement in Shanghai ready to take on the most bizarre tour of my career so far.
